Crossfit is a class based fitness regime, designed to promote a physical exercise philosophy based on functional movements at high intensity. The focus on this philosophy creates a supportive environment that utilizes Olympic lifting, interval training, gymnastic, and plyometrics to help athletes reach their goals. Every day a new workout is drafted, built to improve cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, strength, stamina, speed, power, balance, coordination, accuracy, and agility. Before the workout begins, the experienced trainers thoroughly explain and demonstrate each stretch, movement, and exercise to ensure safety and an inherent understanding of fitness. Each trainer will work with an individual both in class and one on one, to understand their strengths and weakness and to help modify any workout to accommodate all of our member’s needs.
Our Fundamental Program consists of eight practical training sessions. Here you will learn CrossFit’s basic nine fundamental movements, while gaining insight into our philosophy/workout regimen. We emphasize client safety and community building, in addition to learning proper CrossFit terminology. Each session includes a form-focused tutorial, followed by intimate group practice with trainer’s verbal and tactile cues. The class ends with a classic CrossFit workout of the day (WOD) integrating everything you have learned and practiced in a traditional high-intensity cardio and strength workout. Completing our Fundamentals Program will give you the basic understand and tools of CrossFit, putting you on the path to achieving optimal fitness and health! The fundamentals course will cycle every Thursday 7:30pm and Sundays 10:45am and you can jump in at any time throughout the month.
Working hard and achieving goals is the fundamental backbone of CrossFit. CrossFit in a group setting provides a new, inspiring energy that many people discover they can thrive off of. With a welcoming community and an excellent team of coaches, every class is monitored to provide a safe, positive and goal driven environment.
For those members who feel the group setting is not for them because of scheduling, personal goals or specialized training needs, we always offer the ability to take personal training sessions with any of our experienced staff members. These sessions take place in a private work out area to provide maximum one on one training.
