Benchmarking Sustainability: Data and Insights for Companies and Banks

When it comes to sustainability, companies and banks are in desperate need of solid data. Growing numbers of large corporates are adopting net-zero targets and other sustainability goals. As they do so, management teams and boards of directors are being introduced to the complex and constantly changing universe of sustainability regulations, metrics and standards.

Between April and July 2023, Coalition Greenwich conducted phone interviews with 200 financial decision-makers from corporates based in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Respondents were asked about:

• Current behaviors: Awareness, decision-makers, switching behaviors (propensity to change)
• Future opportunities: Corporate priorities and objectives, expected future change of business
• Competitive benchmark: Usage of banks in broad corporates’ ecosystem, competitive landscape and banks used, identification of leader and key peers
